Carl Denne of Hastings Kickboxing Academy was been working closely with year 9 and 11 students within in their regular PE classes at The Hastings Academy,
Gee Denne, Tyler Hughes and lain Carpenter travelled to Frankfurt along with 150 English competitors to challenge the rest of the world in the ICO first world tournament.
Hastings kickboxing academy travelled to Gillingham in Kent for their 5th semi contact show of the year. Juniors Bethany Denne and and Josh Gibbins age 7, Harry Lucos, Ewan Speer aged 11. All 4 fought with great spirit. They all where matched against much stronger opponents and they battled with great strength and heart, although not getting wins they listened well to their corner and got though the bout with smiles on their faces.
An Orpington Road Runner was first over the finishing line in last weekend’s Beachy Head Marathon stealing an eighth victory from the University of Brighton’s Stuart Mills by less than 30 seconds.
Filsham Valley student Gee Denne is very lucky in receiving generous backing from William Parker Sports College to support him in a chance to go to Germany in October along with older team members Ian and Tyler to compete in the ICO world championships.
