The True Diary of a Bride to be by Charlie Pulunkett is a wonderful heart-warming book about one woman’s determination to not only get married twice (albeit to the same man) but also to have the perfect wedding.

Written in an easy, natural manner the book illustrates the key point that the best way to cope with any life changing event is through planning, organisation and working with a keen eye on a definite budget.

While reading the book I heard the author’s voice echoing in my ears that you have your dreams and you also have your budget.  For the reader this could mean that, in some cases for example, you may have found the perfect hotel for your honeymoon - but the rest of your family and friends might not have the same budget in mind.  So don’t get upset if they stay somewhere else. The True Diary of a Bride to be reminds us to keep our expectations realistic in all cases.

Drawing from her own real-life experiences, Charlie Plunkett reminds us just how important it is to not get stressed and to enjoy every second of the Special Day.  This is a funny, touching story told with humour, candour and a dose of pragmatic realism that is so refreshing to read.  Well recommended.
